PRAISE AND WORSHIP IS ..... To praise and worship God is to express our love and awe of who He is. In Isaiah 66:1 God says, “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool.” He is the Creator of the universe and everything in it, which includes you and me. How wonderful and amazing is that! Praising and worshiping God is not about a ritual, or prayer repetition. It’s not about spending a few minutes a day reading our bible or about reciting our wish list on a daily basis. True worship requires total commitment of our body, mind and spirit. It’s about exalting, adoring and acknowledging the God of the Bible. It has nothing to do with religion, but it has everything to do with living an abundant life by having an intimate and profound relationship with God - the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
REVIVAL IS ... all about intimacy
The Bride Prepares. What does an invitation to a wedding, especially a wedding like this, look like?
Revelation 19:7 says, “Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready” It looks like His Bride readying herself for her coming Bridegroom. A Bride readies herself for her groom by setting herself apart. She is preparing for the consummation of a growing intimacy, and she spends months preparing herself. Brides can get so focused on the upcoming marriage that they lose sight of every other thing in their lives. Jesus Himself actually told us how to prepare....
"Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight a cry was heard: “Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!” Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, “Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.” But the wise answered, saying, “No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.” And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, “Lord, Lord, open to us.” But he answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.” Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming." (Matthew 25:1-13)
